Music is a universal language that knows no barriers or borders, in fact, from Spain, we move to England, where a group of young people has upset the entire music scene, proposing lyrics, rhythms and even a new look recognizable and imitated around the world, I’m talking about the Beatles.
The Beatles were born in Liverpool in 1957. Hard to imagine modern music without the Beatles. They invented beat music, they were, together with Bob Dylan, the fathers of rock, they wrote some of the most beautiful and famous songs of the twentieth century, they helped make young people ‘visible’, they established new rules of clothing, have grown a whole generation of hair, and much, much more. All in less than ten years, between 1962 and 1970, releasing a dozen albums, in millions of copies, all gone down in history. The Beatles’ adventure began at the Liverpool Institute, where both John Lennon and Paul McCartney were enrolled, and where the young George Harrison also arrived. Paul and George took the same bus to school and soon became friends and began to share their passion for music. The four from Liverpool then went to Germany, where they developed their musical style in the Hamburg clubs.
Between 1963 and 1965 the Beatles released a few singles, but they quickly climbed the charts, conquering America by presenting a series of songs linked to each other by a common thread.
The death of Lennon on December 8, 1980, murdered in front of the door of his New York home, made the dreams of fans all over the world disappear. Harrison died in November 2001.
Among the most beloved songs of the Beatles we remember: Yesterday, Let it be, Yellow submarine, Hey Jude
